Project Description

A software house operating throughout Germany contracted us to create easy-to-use web-based software for managing the interests of waste disposal companies in different districts. One of the most essential components for the successful management of business processes was the communication between the municipalities and the waste disposal company.

An existing client application was used as an orientation tool for the development of the new software. All data needed to be centrally stored at the facility of the waste disposal company responsible for the municipalities, which needed to be provided with access to the data relevant to them via secured web pages. The website was required to provide an interface to an existing ERP system. Any changes made by the municipalities needed to be able to be incorporated into the software in accordance with the dual-control principle, meaning that after being submitted, they first needed to be approved before being transferred to the central waste disposal software.

We were initially contracted to analyse the current processes in the existing software. After this analysis phase, optimisation potential for the implementation of the processes with different end customers needed to be identified in the new application and incorporated into the concept.

After developing the concept, we planned the implementation of the application, provided the project manager and dealt with the development of the software based on the SCRUM framework and using state-of-the-art technologies in cooperation with the customer’s software developers.
